Who is Maribel?
Maribel Perez Vargas is a Peruvian mother who came to Virginia and worked hard with her husband to support their 2 children. As a child she suffered from tuberculosis and was treated in Peru.
In Virginia she worked around strong cleaning products that caused her to develop pulmonary cystic fibrosis. Maribel Perez Vargas must now breathe through a mechanical ventilator. Due to her very delicate state of health, the only solution is a lung transplant.
Maribel is also a very strong woman. Her strength and willingness to live has put this campaign in gear and we hope that you can help us reach our goal of $80,000 to cover Maribel's co-payments for the transplant expenses. Her insurance company Kaiser Permanente will cover the main part of the cost .
